Did Someone Say Geoarbitrage? Guest Post at The Three Year Experiment!

The Word of the Day is: Geoarbitrage

This is an exciting week.

First, my blogging buddies Mystery Money Man and Mr. Freedom is Groovy pointed out to me on Twitter that I’m on the first page of Google for the term “geoarbitrage.”

This came as a shock to me, but I’ll take it. Now I have to figure out how that happened.

Some More Geoarbitrage

More importantly, I’m featured today on Laurie’s blog, The Three Year Experiment!

You may remember Laurie from her recent guest post about location independence with kids. She interviewed me about my interest in geoarbitrage and specifically Chile. She also taught me some slick Chilean slang like “yapo!” Check it out here and show Laurie some love! I’ve learned a lot from her blog, and Laurie lived in Santiago, Chile in the not-so-distant past.

In the interview, I go into detail about the advantages of geoarbitrage as well as why I think Chile is a great place for Americans to retire to. You can read more about geoarbitrage and see my ranking of various international cities here.

Second Citizenship

One more dynamic that influences geoarbitrage is the potential for receiving second citizenship. There are various advantages, and the process can be incredibly confusing. I’ve laid out the pros/cons as well as the different avenues to dual citizenship here.
